Emergency Room Physicians and Nurses will be available 24/7 when Fountain Hills Medical Center opens in late 2020
Fountain Hills Medical Center (FHMC), will be equipped with Fountain Hill’s first full-service emergency department, providing superior emergency room care, close to home. The emergency room will be staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week with an emergency medical team made up of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and paramedics.
An emergency room close to home is important in providing high quality, individualized services at a rapid rate. “The FHMC will bring emergency medicine to Fountain Hills and the surrounding areas, thus decreasing drive and wait time, which is critical is today’s environment,” said Pete Peters, project manager for the Fountain Hills Medical Center.
The ER departments are fully supported by quality hospital services, including state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, laboratory and surgical services. Rapid evaluation of every ER patient ensures that the hospital can quickly determine the level of care needed, start diagnostic treatments, order medications and begin life-saving interventions.
Fountain Hills ER will include:
- Private ER rooms
- Convenient, separate ER entrance
- Fast track care and triage area to help patients be quickly assessed by a dedicated nurse
- In-house laboratory services for fast turnaround
- In-house medications for patients
- Imaging Center with X-ray, ultrasound and cutting-edge CT with cardiac capabilities, offering advanced imaging capabilities to help quickly evaluate chest pain patients
- Separate ambulance entrance to help emergency service vehicles quickly and efficiently offload patients to a waiting team of doctors and nurses
